✨ The Raediant Path: Finding Stillness in the Knots ✨

When I first began creating malas for OceanFire Designs, I was completely mesmerized by the art of knotting. There was something both intricate and mysterious about it....tiny knots placed between each bead, methodically, patiently, beautifully. To find out pretty quickly that not only do the knots keep an entire mala from falling apart, but they also help keep the beads from beating against each other and wearing down.
I remember thinking, How do people have the patience for this? 108 beads knotted!? Surely it must be tedious.
But once I tried it, something shifted.
The rhythm.
The stillness.
The way it gently slows time.
It’s not just about stringing beads....it’s about being fully present. Each knot is like a breath. Each bead, a moment of stillness. And in that meditative repetition, I found a kind of therapy.

Exploring Smaller Designs
After making a few traditional malas (with 108 beads) without knots, I began experimenting with smaller, knotted necklaces - pieces with 50 or less beads. These shorter designs let me explore new gemstones, colors, and textures while still honoring that peaceful rhythm of knotting.
And that’s how The Raediant Path Necklace came to life.

Spirals, Symbols & Synchronicity
Just a few days ago, I started noticing spirals everywhere—in nature, in dreams, even in little signs around me. I’ve worked with spiral shapes before, but this time, my curiosity deepened.
That’s when I stumbled upon the unalome symbol.
I instantly fell in love.
The unalome begins with a spiral and flows into a straight line - representing the soul’s path toward enlightenment. The journey through confusion, growth, and ultimately, peace.
