Dark Heart Mala - Finding Light Within The Shadows

This mala was personal. It was inspired during a moment of stillness, while I was reflecting on some dark times I had navigated in my past.

For me, creativity has always been a way to move through what words alone can’t express. Through music and art, I learned that even in dark places, beauty can still exist. That creativity can bloom from pain, and that expression itself can be a form of healing.

The Dark Heart Mala was born from that realization. My first love has always been Obsidian, and pretty recently Black Onyx...both stones for their grounding, protective energy. They became the foundation of this piece: strong, steady, and honest. They remind me that even when life feels uncertain, we can still be grounded.

From there, I layered in the full spectrum of Moonstone: Grey, White, and Peach - to represent the emotional and spiritual arc of transformation.

Grey Moonstone for reflection and the mystery that lives within shadow.

White Moonstone for clarity, intuition, and the gentle return of light.

Peach Moonstone for compassion; the warmth that rises once healing begins.

Another one of my loves, Sunstone, waa added to symbolize vitality and hope, and Rose Quartz, the stone of unconditional love. Rose Quartz softens everything... it’s the heart that forgives, the light that restores warmth after pain.

The Dark Heart Mala isn’t about sadness; it’s about honoring the darkness that served a purpose.
